Thanks to GrizzlyBlair for this. Some highway in Ohio was recently renamed the Bill Mazeroski Memorial Highway. Which in itself...pretty nice gesture for Ohio to show to the Maz. Bill was born in West Virginia and played ball in Pennsylvania, I guess Ohio wanted to remind everyone that he went to high school in the buckeye.
Only all his septuagenarian+ friends back in Ohio or those that just happened to be passing through that exact part of Ohio after the sign went up saw what is commonly viewed as a posthumous "in memoriam" honor and freaked out. They used common sense and figured Bill had passed. Only Ohio was ill-informed and accidentally trolled the elderly.
Bill is alive and well, hanging out in Bing Crosby's wine cellar, yelling at Danny Kaye's ghost.
