Thanks TMZ for having me on your Pittsburgh PR email blast, and for using the "slash" pun in your announcement.
You guys know my feelings on those fake housewife drama bs reality shows. I'm just stunned I didn't know Kordell was married to one of those things, I mean in regards to the rumors and all.
And now I begin forgetting about this chapter in PSAMP.
Thanks to my girl Mattie for this. She's a fellow Pens fan who just left NYC for NC. Never drop the Y. Mattie says:
your mini pony of the day
Always.
Back in like late-January, early-February, we had a mini-series where we'd only feature mini ponies with other awesome animals on their backs (1, 2, 3). I'm almost sure this is a first where there's multiple dogs riding the mini pony, though. Pretty much an inter-species breakthrough of incredible proportions.
Last night, the Pens extended their win streak to 12 games in thrilling fashion, taking out rival Philadelphia in OT after a late Sidney Crosby goal forced the extra period.
Thanks to my bud Benson for sending this over. His unreal NHL '94 replay of the game highlights, because 12-game win streaks are about as video game as it gets. If this was the XBOX 360 and NHL 13 version there'd be some impossible achievement for the way the Pens are currently playing.
Thanks to Adam and Brittany and Tony and Matt for this. A duck-sized pony is pretty much my entire reason for loving mini ponies. They're like how smaller candy bars are called "fun size." Sure, sometimes more of anything is great, but portability and cuteness trump all.
Thanks to Doug for this. It is from Ben Roethlisberger's Facebook page.
And in 6 years of PSAMP history this is only like the 3rd or 4th time that we get Pittsburgh sports AND mini ponies in the same picture. It's still a trip after all this time.
OK so this video came out a good couple of weeks ago now, but it's one of those things that everyone is gonna see and love. And with my status as LORD OF ALL MINI PONIES AND ALSO GRAND GALACTIC INQUISITOR, everyone who saw it had to send it to me. Submissions are always appreciated, and are the lifeblood of the Mini Pony of the Day feature.
So thanks to everyone who sent this over. A tally of just about everyone here:
I know I missed people for sure. Hell, I forget to credit people when two of you send the same thing. What I'm saying is thanks as always for thinking of PSAMP.
Last week, some trailer featuring Penguins forward Evgeni Malkin in a Russian movie titled 12 Months debuted. Today, we translate.
The basis of this movie falls on some cute woman who gets wishes that were meant for a kid. Or something along those lines. And the kid wants to meet or play hockey with Geno and Ilya Kovalchuk. Even in Russia, Alex Ovechkin is 2nd tier.
Well worlds shattered when towards the end of the trailer, Geno gets speaking lines! He's not just a pretty ugly face. So I got my Belarusian bud usbzoso on the horn. Geno says this:
Привет камикадзе
Which in English is:
Hi kamikaze
This is breaking news, you must credit PSAMP or get sued.
here is a pic of 2 mini's that need a home in Pittsburgh.
And also:
here is another one from Pittsburgh that needs a new home. Its mini pony day
That's all the info Cy had. I'm sure with enough noise we can find out exact info if you are in the market for 1-3 mini ponies. And if so, please get these awesome guys!
Thanks to my sister for this. Currently, she's probably over the Atlantic en route home to NYC from Ireland where she spent the past couple of days DJ-ing. And since St. Patty's was yesterday and we had a topically-festive mini pony this morning, we'll keep this potato-train a-rollin'. She says:
steelers representing in Ireland
I got that message late this morning, so she sent it from whatever-time-of-day it is at Dublin Airport when it is about 10ish AM on the East Coast. And being the good former Pittsburgher and sister of a Pittsburgh sports blogger that she is, it was probably captured and sent to my inbox without a second thought. Pittsburgh expatriates get a certain rush seeing the Black and Gold in the wild.
Hannah I'll send you this link after you land I don't know what the wifi situation is on cross-Atlantic flights and I haven't been on a plane in like 6 years.
